Fast track to his next life? |
The electricity supply here is something to behold. Wires are strung across the streets, hijacking poles and rooftops, dipping into puddles of water, sparking and jumping and fizzing and popping across balconies, in restaurants and in the paths of pedestrians. No wonder this is a city of electrical unpredictability. Take pot luck, cook when you can, live by the rising and setting of the sun and whatever luck you may have in between.
But today, HOORAY! I had a really hot shower at 7am. Could this be the reason there's a spring in my step and a smile on my face? Really, the only big deal with not having regular power is the issue of hot water and charging equipment. But cold showers are invigorating and thus great for the soul. And power goes on usually from 11pm - 2am - enough time to charge up everything while you sleep. And if somehow the timing goes wrong - well, hey! There are streets to walk, people to talk, and photos to take. Just make sure the camera battery has priority.
